footage of the TVR laps

Anyone have any pictures or film of the TVR laps at the classic? Would be nice to see some of the interesting driving that was going on.....

I have footage from front and rear cameras that were attached to my car.

It's a total of 6GB so will take a while to edit, compress and host somewhere.

I too have a load of footage from the inside of my Viper, when I work out how to load it all up I will post a link

It had been raining out there on track and areas of it were still rather damp, but I did hit 150mph on the end of the Mulsanne straight! Glad the brakes worked However, some of the driving on track was pretty poor. In a later afternoon session I was watching some of the cars going down the main Grandstand straight, a pillock in a Blue Porsche boxer just stopped half way along the pit wall to wait for his mate to catch up! The closing down speed of other cars wanting to hoof it up the main straight, this guy should have been yanked off the track. It was bloody dangerous.

I know it was not a Track day, it was supposed to be Parade laps, but that was one hell of a fast parade I could not stop grinning after the session.

Some of the driving in our session left a bit to be desired, noteably from the other marques, one in particular as per usual . But like at the Ring I had a spotter working overtime and we just backed off from things and kept ourselves as out of the way as possible. An excellent experience.

Steve and I had a top time on the track. Encountered a little bit of traffic on the first lap but laps 2 and 3 were much less problematic as you will see from the photos. Very respectable speed down the Mulsanne on both laps 2 and 3 as there was no traffic at all!!! ;0) I have some photos from inside the Cerbera - from leaving the TVR paddock to completing the laps. I tried to capture as many TVRs as I could as I know how much everyone enjoys seeing their cars parked up and driving on the track. We did overtake a lot of cars so there is a good chance if you were on the 10.20 slot I've got you! If anyone did spot a black JPS Cerbera prowling around could you make my day too! ;0) New camera so forgive my efforts. Picture heavy! ;0)

Yep... I too met that plank, twice .... It was a Blue Cayman i thought, not a boxster. Not only did he stop on the pit lane, as traffic bunched up on the Mulsanne, he pushed through the middle of the two lines of traffic to get infront of everyone, to hold them all up at 20mph later on again. F@cking dangerous and if the marshals had been alert, he should have been pulled off. Oh, and as it was the PH session, you could be reading it on here... COCK!

Apart from him though... Was jolly good fun. A friend videod my laps, will post a link when it's hosted

I managed to get some of the footage onto the web.

It's not exactly what you would call good quality. The sound is terrible for no fault of my own, every other issue is almost certainly down to me not really knowing how to faff about with video files etc, so apologies in advance.

We arrived late (10.25am to be precise) after miscalculating the time it would take to drive in from Vendome and assumed we had missed the parade session but luckily for us it was all running to French timings. We then left early as it was a flying visit on a general road trip but it was superb to meet some new faces in the TVR zone and there were some cracking cars on show.

Russ, I hope you found some petrol for the LS Cerb in the end

I went out with the first small group of TVRs and was surprised at the standard of driving going on particularly with the group of half a dozen Mustangs that seemed to be bullying their way around the track trying to stay together in one line. Very sad seeing the Panterra crashed and not sure what the other car was. but I still managed to find some space for a quick blast

I was a Youtube novice until waiting 6 hours for the 30 minute footage to upload only to discover once it had finally completed that it was too long for Youtube!!!!!!!

I have since used AVS to split it in 3 and save as a more palatable format.

Chap in the dark Green cerb with the red interior was the french cerb owner who trailered our companions mulsanne battered griff home.
