Previously we have always camped in the BeaseJour Campsite. I missed last year but I want to know if anyone knows if you can still view the race from the hill without a entrance ticket?

Bottled beer goes for the terraces etc, ok on campsite. Security was pretty hot about that in 2012.

What is the point of not buying a ticket, they are not exactly expensive £50 for a weeks entertainment, without one you will miss all the fun.

Because we never needed one. In early years we went through the woods to the track side, impossibility now with dogs and security. 2 years ago we could get onto a view mound opposite the Porsche curves and this never used to be ticketed, I think it could be now.
Moped to the supermarket sorted the beer out!

89 euros for a BMW poloshirt is OK with you, but an entrance ticket for a whole week's top-entertainment is too much? Better stay at home then!

No atmosphere on the TV.
I've often bought a ticket and not used it.
The money I have saved I have put towards my new Polo shirt.

To be fair to the OP, I did 04 And 05 without GE ticket and still only use mine now on a Saturday afternoon or at Arnage. Otherwise there is loads of epic viewing still in the woods an u have never seen a dog on patrol in the woods in 12 years of going to LM

And why are there dogs and security? Because of dishonest people wanting to benefit from attending one of the greatest races without paying a small sum towards the future of the race. It's not clever.

We have always bought tickets between us but sometimes we have not used them or certainly not all at once, different people doing different things at different time.
Dogs and guard is Health and Safety, obviously paid for by Ticket sales.

Guy - would love to know the best place (off forum obviously) to get to the side of the Mulsanne Straight through the woods. have meant to try it for years but not knowing where to start, have never got around to it. It must be one of those experiences you never forget.
