taking the vwt5 camper down to le mans this year... probably going to stay with speedchills at beausejour as usual... we're just doing up a vintage tractor at the moment and were toying with taking this with us as a means to get about and head over to arnage for brekkie each morning... but last year we promised ourselves we would take a hot tub with us.
we only have one tow bar, so what should we take?

As swimming pools have been banned for the last few years due to water shortages the hot tub will be a waste of space when you find you can't fill it up! Then again driving to Arnage village is a pain anyway...the road to the village is narrow and clogged with pedestrians and cyclists 2 or 3 abreast who never hear you coming, and with traffic also coming in the opposite direction overtaking is near impossible. I'd walk...or take a bike...just my opinion of course.

our plan was to engineer some form of 'moving' hot tub which could be towed behind the camper... this way, it can be filled ahead of time and kept heated. various ideas have come up how to seal the top and prevent the effects of free-surface effect on the corners... there is also the weight aspect as there would be circa 3 tons of water in addition to the trailer, hot tub and heating mechanism... can't remember what the towing limit on a the t5 is...ultimately, without mad ideas, stuff will never happen!

Ive seen hot tubs in the back of Limos, so there must be a way, but you will have to worry about cornering with the additional weight and momentum of the water!
Personally, I would take the tractor, if it rains, you will make a killing towing people out of the mud
Should easily pay for your le mans trip
We tried to fill a paddling pool on Beausejour a few years ago and they called a policeman over to stop us!
