Airtrack

So I was dragged into Thomas Cook by the OH to look at some cheapo holidays, and somehow ended up with the sport magazine. I'd never heard of Airtrack (though the ladies in Thomas Cook had never heard of Le Mans either, so we're all confused as it turns out). Handy as it happens though as I'm in charge of the Le Mans booking.

Thomas Cook wasn't the first idea I'd have had if I wanted to book for Le Mans. It seems a tad..unspecialised. Has anyone been with them before? Opinions please!

My old man and I are going back to Airtrack for the third time this year. The facilities are top notch, lots of toilets and showers that are manned and kept clean 24hr's a day, there is always hot water. The bar sells standard bears and they have a chuffing big screen to go with. One good thing is that it is fenced off with a 3m high fence and security on the gate, that way at the end of the race you don't have to worry about the gypos coming in and taking your stuff. They manage to sell out every year, the only downside to it all is that it isn't the cheapest. The only way the old man will camp is if there are decent facilities and this has them.

Thanks for reply! Is the campsite quite a walk from the grandstand seating do you know?

Airtrack is normally between Houx & Houx Annexe campsites, so a 5 minute walk to the Village & about 10 minute slow walk to the grandstands opposite the pits, if you use the walkway under the pit straight.

I'll be bringing my old man this year for the first time too, so trying to make this as comfortable as possible. I'll see if I can compare the costs of Travel Destinations vs these guys and figure out which is best.
