ACO Membership
Discussion
Haven't been a member of the ACO for some years now, just want to ask if people think it is worth the 92 €uros fee still? There are six in our party so it would mean two of us would have to join so all of us could get into the Espace club (and pay the extra charge to get in as guests) I haven't been into the Espace club since it was over near the village so don't know if it has changed much?
Cheers!

For tickets alone it is a no-brainer:
Passion VIP: 102 euro per year, with 17 euro discount per ticket. 6 x 17 = 102 euro. Break even.
If you then buy Grandstand or Campsite tickets, you're earning money!
To get into the Espace Privilege with 6, you must have 2 memberships, and pay 15 euro for the other 4 guests. So 60 euros, or 10 euro per person. I can't decide for you if it's worthwile, but I liked it. Nice and quiet, and very nice view.

Well that is not quite correct, for each member you can include your wife or another named person so you get two cards, now if there are women in your group no problem, if you put down another person on your application then they will also get a membership card and again two people can get into the club. Used both cards last year although had to explained that Gillian was a male name in england and that my mate was my brother, they accepted that. Could have gone the civil partner route but would have burst out laughing as my mate is ruddy ugly and i know i could do better
I used the ACO Espace last year during qualifying & it was a great break from the hussle & bussle of the rest of the circuit & the view over the esses is great, no catch fencing!! And didn't have to wait in line to get a beer & food.
I was able to add my girlfriend to my card just by emailing the ACO (the address is on the membership page), I didn't get another card, but I can see her listed on my online account. So it is possible & there is time to add someone to your existing membership.
All the popular campsites are sold out, but I was able to secure the campsite I wanted when the ticketing office opened for ACO members, which is the main reason you get the membership (for me anyway). There are still places at much of the grandstands, except for the ACO ones which sell out instantly. You still get a discount on any ticket (camping, tribunes, etc) purchases, so there is some benefit still.
You do get a discount in the ACO store & the museum & you get sent a LM pack a few months after the race with various bits & pieces (timing sheets for every hour, poster of the winner, the official program, etc).
