Le Mans 2013 & French Track Day Combined?

Heading down this year - and would like to do a track day either before or after in France.

Has anyone found a good circuit which is open? Trackdays.fr pushes out all the stops to be as unhelpful as possible... do they try to avoid les rosbifs coming over and spoiling their fun?

I am not sure what you expect? Will a TDO write to with a personal invite, will they hold a briefing in English just for you? No! No French, German, or Spaniard will expect to arrive at Brands, or Oulton and get a briefing in their own language.

However, if you make a booking and send a payment then there is no reason why you should not have a great day.

Magny Cours with Oreca on the Thursday before may be your best option.

Not sure what to make of your response to the OP - he was asking where he might get a track day and you give him grief about languages and things !

He might well be fluent in French (or even French) for all you know.

Thanks for this - not quite what I expected as a response... maybe I should have worded my question better.

My gf is French and I have no problem at all with the language, it was a comment directed towards how the various tracks don't do a great job (as far as I have been able to see) in showing which days are available on their websites. Maybe I'm just not looking at the best sites, but I would have thought that trackdays.fr would have given a good overview. Several of the tracks I looked at which were in northern France had 2011 dates.

Always happy for recommendations, and Magny may be a good option. Thanks

There are 2 back to back trackdays at Spa on June 17/18th - the Monday and Tuesday before this year's LM24.

I will be at Spa for that weekend's Spa Summer Classic, then staying on for the trackday on the Monday.
