Renault Return on the cards

Renault are rumoured to be contemplating a return to Le Sarthe, I was too young to see there last outing so it will be interesting to see how they fare, and the more the merrier i guess

They've got enough money too but i guess that after the failure of the Aston-Lola project the Saudi's probably wont like the idea.....Big Dave needs to get his persuading shoes on again me thinks

I think it was Aston Martin themselves that failed with the AMR-One. Lola didn't have anything to do with the AMR-One, The Lola-Aston Martin B09/60 was a very successful racing car in my opinion and was brought back into service when the AMR-One programme was abandoned

Sorry, yes of course, The Lola-Aston was pretty bloody good.

The AMR-one on the other hand was not, didnt they retire 75mins into the 2011 race if i remember rightly?

I think the shutters might have come down after a few hours but they only managed 6 laps between the two cars.

Tata might throw some money at a Jaguar program..

Wrong - both AMR One's were in effect out on lap 2 ... our group had a raffle on when they were out... no one won .. I was closests though suggesting that neither needed strong headlights... the times they set were 6th and 9th fastest.... in P2

This is how the mechanics felt at scruteneering...

Still a bit confusing as to exactly what they will be using (oreca or alpine chassis), but looks to be good news,


I might even sticker the Clio up now, wonder if ELF will be sponsoring
