Motorhome on Beaujour

This will be our 5th year to Le Mans, but this year we have decided to go up market and have acquired a motorhome. The question is, who has experience with these things at Beaujour? Decided on that site as that's where we started and we wanted to go back to our roots, albeit in a nice warm motorhome. Its only 7.5m long so should fit on the pitch, but any views on bogging down etc would be appreciated. Yeah, we've seen coaches and motorhomes before on there, but never actually asked anyone about the practicalities. Any wisdom welcome.

There are specific sites for large motor homes on the sites, they are triple size so cost more but should be more suitable, not sure you will be allowed a 7.5m vehicle on a normal plot as they are only 7m by 5m.
Now they have larger plots for this type of vehicle they will insist you use those, otherwise why sell them.

When I visited the site in March the ACO had just completed a large drainage project but at that stage it was still very muddy with no grass,this extended from the speedchills site across most of the rest of the area.
The ACO were just about to grass the area and hopefully some grass will have grown back by June. Just be aware that this is now made up ground so will take a year or two to settle. As a very large motorhome owner speading the weight is always a good suggestion or go on hard standing.

Sorry I dunno about BSJ but it's a bit of a free-for-all usually isn't it? So in your case I would wing the entire thing! Be very very careful re security, not a huge amount you can do I suppose but chat to your neighbours so they can keep an eye in case you aren't there.
I'll be taking a motorhome this year too but staying on Maison Blanche. I have been wondering about where to get water and where (if anywhere?) to empty out. Having been to LM for the last few years with tent I just never thought to find out about these things.

One of my Geordie friends goes with around 20 other people and they have plumbing going all over the place to the caravans.
You can empty any water/waste behind the toilet blocks in the centre of MB.

Last year I arrived at BSJ just after a sh**load of rain had fallen (I caught the end of it), the ground was quite muddy & a group of us did help a few camper vans get through the mud after getting bogged. We managed to get everyone going after a while despite the ground being saturated.
It is a bit of a free for all, but not exactly a Death Race type affair, so I wouldn't worry too much about getting a decent plot if you are arriving early in the week, even then it doesn't fill up really until Friday.
I would suggest paying for the larger plot, then scope out where you want to set up on the day, as the staff aren't really fussed where you go.
Also, the facilities at BSJ are pretty good, the showers stayed hot & the toilets were kept pretty clean despite the mud tracked around the place (my old Mum would have a fit with that).

So with a load of very expensive work done and purpose built motor home slots now available the ACO make not be happy with people buying a car ticket for a third of the price who then drive a heavy motor home on to the site undoing all there work, so if you are taking a motorhome don't be so tight and buy the right camping ticket
