We visited the Audi VIP lounge last year for an hour or so and had several of the past drivers to entertain us, but if you have full trip paid by Audi including tickets and everything what are you questioning jump at the chance
Don't worry I have already accepted. Just want to get a flavour before I go. And make sure I don't miss out on any of the good stuff!gt6 said:

I only recall Emanuele Pirro? Or did you visit another VIP Audi box than I did?Edit: To answer my own question, you were in another group, so probably Audi arranged for another driver too?

We also dwell a lot of time on another site ten-tenths.com and they miraculously have arranged for their biggest contributors/people with no life outside the internet to visit raceteams at Le Mans.
In 2011 they visited Audi, 2012 Toyota and we did also get an invite from Audi in 2012 to visit their VIP box above the pit during qualifying.
Video I took then:

I'm in a similar quandary. Do I go camping with my mates as per, or do I accept the Toyota VIP offer. A flight down in a Typhoon EuroFighter going through the Arc De Triomphe en route, landing on the Mulsanne straight and being met by Megan Fox who whisks me away in a 1968 E-Type 3.8 to her apartment for a sex marathon before taking me to the circuit on a Ducati 848 evo and being invited to do a couple of hours at the wheel of the Toyota TSO30 Hybrid. Tea and muffin (Megan again but also with Michelle Keegan) just in time to watch the end of the race then back to Blighty in a Lexus LFA.
Anyone done this ?

May I ask how you came to be invited?
As guest of a mate of mine. He has spent a lot with Audi over the years and they clearly hope he will spend a lot more! I have bought a reasonable number over the years (in fact getting another today), but I think you need to buy a succession of RS's and R8's to hit their 'VIP' radar. I am certainly not complaining!Rs2oo said:

I think your mates would understand if you bailed on them! Anyone done this ?

I really don't know what it is you're asking. (Or simply boosting ego)
nice booze, good food, somewhere good to chill out, the odd 'celebrity' rubbing shoulders, get ferried about to the other VIP sites, being pampered by pr staff etc etc etc.....
Yeah what a s
t time you'll have. At the end of the day, if you still want to do other things you still can, you're not going spend all your time in the hospitality. You might even get ferried to mulsanne in an A8 if you wanted to venture down there.
Many would love access to experience the whole hospitality thing and spend good money doing so.
Just enjoy it without the need to wonder whether it might ruin your trip!

Do not get worried the only bit of Audi hospitality Vince or I saw was an hour or so in a room above the pits. which the audi guys were very pleased to provide. It did not include the VIP shuttles or services on race days provided to those real Audi guests who were given the total VIP treatment.

In case your little rant was directed at me, I will clarify the reason for my post. I have been invited, but as yet have precious little information on what Audi's VIP treatment actually entails (the same goes for my host). Hence I asked if anyone has done it previously and how do I make the most of it. Apologies if you interpreted it as some kind of ego inflation exercise.nice booze, good food, somewhere good to chill out, the odd 'celebrity' rubbing shoulders, get ferried about to the other VIP sites, being pampered by pr staff etc etc etc.....

I have a journalist/ex-racing driver staying with me here and he offered me the experience, but explained that tickets are very hard to come by. If that's the case, and knowing Audi it'll be done well, grab it. I though turned it down because I have enough to do trackside taking photos and wouldn't really make use of them. Just had to be realisitic. Enjoy!
Hi,
I was lucky enough to do Audi hospitality at Le Mans last year and it is fantastic, you will love it.
Assuming it is the same as last year, Audi have hospitality in nearly all major parts of the track offering view points well above the catch fencing so you have a clear view of the action for photos etc.
One of their main areas is a lounge with indoor and outdoor areas high above the start finish straight but they also have a great place by the Dunlop bridge with excellent outdoor viewing, indoor bar, seating area etc. They have a similar place by the Ford chicane but that's more of a nightime venue with bar, DJ, xbox racing games, massive TV screen as well as small TVs showing the action. They also have a bar in the paddock area where you can also get food especially good on Friday night and as previously mentioned there is a lounge above the pits where you can get drink and snacks.
As others have said, there are shuttles linking all the different places together, especially good for getting to the PlayStation chicane and Indianapolis.
In addition to this there are other 'perks' such as helicopter rides above the track, some kind of driving experience which I didn't bother with last year and loads of other things that I can't remember. As you'd expect from Audi, the quality of everything is superb, the food, wine, beer etc, they really do know how to do corporate hospitality.
You'll probably get an email nearer the time outlining all the areas you can go to and explaining what's happening.
Believe me, you will have a great time.
