Staying on Sunday night

Yep, Sunday night, we always stay, is the time they start circling.
Whilst security disappear at the campsite entrances, fair enough, all the side entrances are shut, security at the main entrance to the whole circuit appear to let anyone in.
Shame on the ACO really, security main job is to nod at you as anyone walks/drives by, they may as well go home. It tends to taint the end but that's the way it is.
The locals probably do them a favour in rubbish clearing but they could wait till Mon before letting them in perhaps?

We had to hand in our Kangaroo TV's a few years back and between the end of the race and us walking back to Tetre Rouge our site had already been gone through and our rubbish pile inspected and various bit of tatt removed. We stayed on BSJ the first year we went and had no issues Sunday night. Just be sensible and stay on site and you'll be fine. I even found some space for some Corvette doughnuts in 2005.
s on monday morning though. 
Team Langoustine site remains secure until Monday.
I rather enjoy winding down at a slower pace on Sunday evening, and generally tuck in to some pleasant cheese, pâté,cold meats and good wine, all enjoyed around a camp fire of tents, chairs, and other Le Mans " consumables". it makes a change from the previous 3 days of burgers

I agree with Blues. Sunday night is a night to look forward to. A real chill out and wind down from the previous 5 days.
If you are in the public sites, just do not stray far from your tent and belongings.
If you are in the TL site, we generally have about 40% of the site stay and the steel doors are shut.

Couldn't agree more, sunday is great fun and going into town for a nice meal makes it worth while. TL site last year was safe as your could want. If you are in the public sites, just do not stray far from your tent and belongings.

We have always stayed at the Speedchills secure campsite on Beausajour and have vivid memories of watching through the security fence at the what looked like a war zone on the other side as the sunday evening set in. The smoke hung low and mingled with the evening mist and the orange glow of burning fires/tents/gazebos - through the sounds of fireworks, and bangers etc it truly looked like we had front row seats at the worlds most realistic HD screening of Apocalypse Now...... fantastic when you're safe and sound with a cold beer in hand..... sort of always signals the end of the adventure every year.
