Wednesday/Thursday parking

I have been to LM a couple of previous times and stayed at Houx Annexe. This year I am introducing my son to the wonders of La Sarthe and will be staying in the more 'sedate' Mulsanne for the first time. I would like to watch some practice/quali from the main stadium area and wondered if anyone had an experience of trying to park in the car parks on Weds/Thurs evening without a parking pass? As an alternative I did think about parking in the P&R for the tram and walking in. Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

One option is to park at the Stella Bar and you can wander up from Tetre Rouge to the Village. There is usually space, it gets full but we manage it most years and Wed/Thur should be a bit quieter.

Tram parking at Antares is only 3 euro if I remember correctly and you can leave your car there for a whole day. But remember the guard leaves when the last tram is gone, and the barriers open then too. So no security then anymore.
