Desiel cost in France.

Hi heading over for my first Le Mans trip in my camper van.
Can anyone tell what side of the water I would be better off filling up my van?

Diesel is slightly cheaper in France, but just like in the UK it depends where you buy it, supermarkets are usually much cheaper than the prices at ordinary petrol stations and those on the auto routes are very expensive, best bet is fill when you see somewhere cheap, suggest you have enough to get you at least until Rouen area and fill up around there once off the motorway

Diesel still quite a bit cheaper in France, think you'll save about 15-20p/litre. Petrol slighly more in France but not a lot in it.

Was in France end of May, coming back from Spa.

Ball park figure for diesel was IRO I.40 Euro/litre, Petrol(98 RON) was 1.55 Euro/litre.

As mentioned, the supermarkets were cheaper by 10 - 15 cents.

I usually fill up at the Shell station before the tunnel, and again in Le Mans at the Anarge Super-U.
If we are in a thirsty car, we use the Motorway stations for convenience and to reduce pit stop times.

With the exchange rate, there very little in it if you use Petrol, and a slight saving at the Supermarkets if you use diesel.

I found it to be more expensive around calais than further into france

The further South or east of France you go the cheaper I have found all fuel to be.

We were in Calias a month ago and diesel equated to £1.09 a litre

Much cheaper to diesel up in France than in the UK, we always leave the UK on an empty tank

Just been to europe this week and its slightly cheaper over the water. The real question is.... why are you buying heating oil.... Put a V8 in the camper!

Le Clerc Hypermarket at the bottom of the hill if you turn off autoroute at the last exit for Boulogne before you cross viaduct. It's usually a good price.

Paid 1.29 euros a litre for diesel in france a couple of weeks ago.

I live in France. Diesel is much cheaper here. Unleaded is about the same...
