As per the title, best route that's not too dull but not too long with other PHers etc. on it.

Follow the river pass the toll crossing, until you reach the suspension bridge cross there, at the other side park in the viewing area take photo of car put gace in sat nav avoiding toll roads and you will go through some amazing woods villages etc to gace, at gace you join the old road to LE mans which is amazing and full of cool machinery. Do this every year, gace is a great stop off point.

When we did that crossing we would always go via lisieux (where we would get some supplies at the supermarket on the ring road) then livarot, vimoutiers and gace

1. Get in wrong lane going through Le Harve.
2. Over Pont de Normande.
3. Get off the A29 early and drive through Pont L'Eveque.
4. Pick a random left turn and follow your nose/satnav to Trun.
5. Stop for lunch at the little cafe/bar on the left with the nice row parking spaces.
6. Head to Argentan, then play a while in the Foret d'Ecouves before dropping out to Alencon.
7. "N136", either direct to Le Mans or right in Beaumont-sur-Sarthe to Conlie then the "what did the Romans ever do for us" run in to Le Mans via Saint-Saturnin.
