Well paid my deposit, for the campsite with food included only got to buy lunch while we are out.
Ferry ticket's being booked end of the month, still looking for the best roadcover in case the worse happens e.g. us and the car back to the U/K.
Travel insurance as well will be looked into as before.
We are going from Portsmouth to Caen, then two hours and a bit drive to the campsite.

Bounty camping, not camping on the inside of the track again. Its got a bit like the LITTLE BIG HORN even with a fenced in site.

that is not for a long time... but we do get priority - even over the people who book privately

Just received email from ACO on the matter - priority booking opens early November

How long does your ferry crossing take to warrant cabin bookings? your return ferry is double the price of my (individual) booking for the week redface

Its about seven hours with my son a cabin would be better and more comfort.
After we get to France, two hours and a bit then at the camp site.
Its better than five hours, plus driving from Dover and extra fuel cost miles on the car etc.
The cost of a cabin was £70 each way TV, drinks free in the room etc.
The biggest saving I have made is that my son is half price at the campsite and that our booking includes food as well. We only have to buy our lunch?
So the money I save go towards crossing cost like a cabin. If you remove the £140 from the price its not that bad I think? Each to there own about your LeMans trip.

You can book without them as well.

Not sure how i missed this until now, been ages since you posted it...

Thats fair enough, travelling with your son it'll undoubtedly just make it more relaxing. 6 hours in a car and 2 on the ferry from home to le mans is easily passed by my group so should be a laugh
