I quite fancy the Le-Mans classic ,never been so don't have a clue where to start.
I assume there is camping etc around the circuit but I've heard that can be a bit drunk.
Any suggestion for a first timer regarding camping or hotel around the circuit?
Cheers.

The Classic is way better the the main race - a lot less drunk idiots!!!

It's more about the cars, and less about being stupidly annoying, although it is a great party too.

And camping is just as per the main race.

We've been to every Classic and far prefer it to the main race.
I just hope the morons that invade the main race stay away!!!

(hopefully) I will attend my first classic this year. The stagdoes and chavs roaming the premises during the regular 24 hours, and the total out of hand mad/crazy friday antics are becoming more and more annoying.

Let's hope indeed that the classic will stay safe from that! But when I read about the Festival of Speed, the signs are not good!

The Classic is very different to the main race, plenty to see all around the circuit and camp sites and some things are cheaper like stands and the paddock is open and free for ACO members, been to the last 4 classics and intend to do 2014, however many camp sites are taken over by car clubs and difficult to get or very expensive, Tetre Rouge is taken over by Triumph sports six club and although we enjoyed it there 4 years ago the costs last year were to high so we went back to MB and endured the long walk back to the main area's

I might come to this next year also. Not decided yet though!

Were going, we are going posh this time and staying in Hotels organised by the French Viper club, we believe there could be as many as 60 Vipers attending from all over Europe and we will be driving On Track.
Can't bloody wait bounce

Booked and going to the Classic for the 1st time, at Hunaudiere camp site, on the inside of Tetre Rouge.

1st proper long distance outing in the 912!

Can't bloody wait!

Booked and going to classic, camping at Hunaudieres :-) It will be my 1st visit, have been to Goodwood FOS camping for the duration the last 5 years and thought this would make a good change.
