Join us at Le Mans in 2014

PistonHeads and 1st-Tickets team up once more for the 24-Hour and Classic races

2013 was another fine year for 1st Tickets and PistonHeads on Bleu Nord at the Le Mans 24 as we entertained 480 campers with a weekend of food (included in the price) and drink, clean showers and toilets with no queues, live coverage of racing and rugby, wi-fi, and the Le Mans essential of a fully gated site and patrolled security perimeter checks 24 hours a day.  Knowing your car and valuables are safe while you are away from your tent offers the peace of mind you need to relax and enjoy the weekend and if you don't fancy bringing your own tent we can even provide pre-erected tents too. Le Mans camping doesn’t get any better than this!

The PistonHeads private site for the 24H filled up very early into 2013 and we once again invite you to register your interest for staying with us in 2014. You don’t need to pay anything to do so, but you will be emailed with all the details (including pricing) before we announce details on the PistonHeads homepage, giving you the chance to book ahead of the crowds. If you want standard, non-private camping we can help with that too.

PH camping: like camping, just better
PH camping: like camping, just better
2014 sees the welcome return of the fantastic Le Mans Classic and PistonHeads will also be offering a high standard of private camping at this slightly more genteel version of Le Mans. Beer and burgers it isn’t, but it is a glorious throwback to a more gentlemanly aspect of endurance racing.

If you fancy joining us at either event please send an email to the 1st Tickets team stating either Le Mans 24 or Le Mans Classic as the subject line and we’ll be in touch with you as soon as we can with more details. We expect to be in a position to confirm package prices by early November, assuming that we receive all the supplier quotes in the next couple of weeks.

We look forward to seeing some of you on site next year.

Race dates are as follows. LM24: 14th - 15th June 2014, LMC: 4th - 6th July 2014

I emigrate to Australia late next summer.... And my "the one thing i must do before i go" is to go to Le Mans, as its something i have always wanted, but never got round to doing - This looks like a fine way of doing so!

I'll send my e-mail!

It's not a problem if you are combining LM with a longer stay in France or mainland Europe. We work with you to select the best crossing times for your group's needs. There would be just a crossing supplement for a greater than five day stay (approx. £25).

I've signed up again with 1st Tickets again having used them for the last 2 years. I hadn't been to Le Mans before so I have no experience of it without using the 1st-Tickets / PH enclosure but I have to say I'm not sure I'd want to do without a similar set up.

Everything is all set up ready to go for the whole weekend, the beer tent is large and has a couple of TVs showing the race and/or other sporting events (World Cup for example)

The food has got better year on year and I think they are expanding it again this year - I'd recommend taking advantage. The fact that your car and tent is in a secure site with 24H security is a good thing in my book as well. As is having your own toilet and shower block - this may seem a small thing but when you see the queues on the other side of the fence it quickly becomes a real plus - the toilets are also regularly cleaned and in the main are in good condition

The 1st Tickets crew are all really friendly and helpful and we've also always got on with our neighbours in the enclosure with any noise or drama mainly coming from outside the fence.

Oh and the race? Well you're only a 5 minute walk from the circuit with a couple of great grandstands close by and a decent set of banking with good large screen access just nearby as well.

Personally I can't wait to go again next year!

Thats a pretty good write up there, thanks. Just makes me even more driven to do it.

What is the rough pricing for all that 1st Tickets provide?

Hi guys.

Where is this campsite in regards to other?
I have previously stays in Beausejour which is too far a trek in to the village for me. Karting Nord, which was spot on but unfortunately no longer. And last year I housed myself in Garage Vert which was spot on location wise, but lacking in atmosphere a little.

Our group has plummeted this year so I'm looking to seek out entertainment with a good location.

Blue Nord (aire d'accueil Blue) is pretty much the same location as Karting Nord, just on the outside of the circuit instead of on the inside.

The 1st Tickets set up is great, with a top bunch of blokes working for him. We go for the Beermountain AGM at the 1st Tickets site.

Don't worry, I've traveled from Australia (Perth, WA) the last 3 years (& next year) & it's a piece of cake getting to & from Le Mans. Just a tad more expensive.

The other guys are right, once you go, you'll want to keep going back.
