id say you are missing out on a few things doing it that way!
but ive done my days of staying onsite and now use an offsite camping site with the option of camper van and caravans with hook ups so its not flea pit.
A few chateuaxs are around le mans and hire out rooms have a look for one of those!

Jonathan, check out the Flexotel Village, again with Travel Destinations. TD are fantastic and have never disappointed me over many years of booking through them. The Flexotel is little more than a storage container, but with proper beds and storage as well as being secure. But to be honest, the best experience of Le Mans is to stay on site. This means you have your car to hand whenever you need it and you avoid public transport at the busiest time of the year. For me it doesn't get more convenient.
I've stayed at the Etap Centre Hotel bang in the middle of LM a few times (£250 a night??) and trammed it to and from the circuit. Basic rooms, very basic breakfast but clean and you can have comfortable SSSS. Bar at the next door Mercure is ok if you don't fancy the short walk to any of Le Mans pleasant squares. Has a car park, although it gets bunged and you don't want to be buried at the back at 5am on Monday morning
Tram service is good.
I've looked at Chateaux but I expect what you have in mind would be either a) already rented to a team or sponsor b) be too far away or c) be silly expensive ( even by LM standards )........ so motel style accommodation it is.
There are other ways to make your trip more comfortable, depending on your pocket.
- Start/finish line restaurant; bookable for major meals plus you can use the roof top bar either side of your meal booking time.
- pay for hospitality; from trackside bar/lounge/sat dinner thru to full team/manufacturer offerings.

plenty of chateau, gites, etc either to rent privately or via clubs but of course, the 24H is their main income so they do tend to charge appropriately .....

I've looked at the mulholland site and membership costs.
Out if interest, what is the cost for the Le Mans trip without the hospitality packages?
Also, do you do many of the other activities with the club?
I tend to do Evo triangle, Le mans & the grantour to Europe every year - I've been a member since near the startOut if interest, what is the cost for the Le Mans trip without the hospitality packages?
Also, do you do many of the other activities with the club?
But I've also done one-offs like a trip to Abu Dhabi, to New York Nascar driving, etc
The trips vary in price enormously - the club put on very little in the way of margin as it's more of a sideline for Paul that runs it, putting on trips he enjoys and within which many of the members are now good friends, rather than a huge money making exercise. Evo triangle for instance is about £300 per car/couple, which pays for the hotel room each night and then we just split the meal bills.
Le Mans was the most expensive year this last year as the accommodation was the grandest weve ever done - it worked out about £1,500-1,600 IIRC. That was for Eurotunnel, 1 room in the chateau (so the same price as for a couple, pair of friends happy to share a room or a single), breakfasts, a few other meals & bits & pieces, shuttle bus, etc. The only extras were hospitality (which covers all booze/food/etc for the duration) and lunch on the Friday in Le Chartre. Vast majority of that cost was of course the chateau - IIRC it was £15k+ to hire.......we've done it in gites and the like for a good £4-500 less per car
If you want to know more about the club, feel free to DM me or speak to Paul - he's very approachable. It's quite different to other car clubs I've done stuff with - we are not about showing off, revving the engines whilst everyone looks on, putting stickers on the car, club magazines etc (nothing wrong with any of that, just not for our club) - this is more about people who love their cars doing trips with like minded people. There are members with an old lotus elise or fiat barcheta to those with McLaren F1s, CGTs, F40s, P1s & the like

We do the Event Tents with Travel Destinations, lights, beds etc, expensive but well worth a look.
Hey Buddy,We do the Event Tents with Travel Destinations, lights, beds etc, expensive but well worth a look.
We're at Porsche Curves with Travel Destinations. Can you tell me more about the option you indicated? Sounds great. I'm going in the Atom this year - bit limited on space as you can imagine. Only enough room for some bog roll and a bottle of scotch

We are back in the Chateau we have used for several years again this year. Glorious building and setting though not the Relais et Chateau Michelin star it first appears. Near Ecommoy so 4 miles from Mulsanne and 15 miles from town.
Fantastic breakfast, 4 nights in the Gites/Chateau rooms for 12 of us, eurotunnel, GE Tickets and Grandstand tickets comes to £400 each.
We spend all friday at events, then drivers parade and in town most of/all of friday night, sat pm is race night and sunday chilling.
We did the hotel in town last year (Chateau was taken by a team) and it worked out great. The tram is a great way in and out of circuit, there's loads of stuff going on in town , especially friday night and its quick and easy to get away from the noise and chaos when it suits.
Camping can be fun but if you spend all the time at the circuit and never get out and about your missing loads.

OnSite-Events.com offer several high end Le Mans packages which I can recommend.
They also offer the RP24 ACO Full hospitality package if you really want to push the boat out.
There are several operators that can source Hotels in town (Very good option) but its very expensive. At least £500 a head and likely 2-300 more than that. But its easy to get in to the circuit on the tram as long as your close enough to a stop and being in town is great fun. They also offer the RP24 ACO Full hospitality package if you really want to push the boat out.

hi mate, well worth the money, still camping just! all you need is some clothes and your wallet - plenty of room for the scotch as well. Last year there were beds/bedding, lights, power, table and chairs and a couple of units. Cant fault it.We're at Porsche Curves with Travel Destinations. Don't know whether mentioned so far but you could see if the hotel on the Mulsanne (2nd chicane) has availability (name escapes me) which aside from being an excellent viewing point also does a very tempting menu de degustation
Hotel Arbour, normally have to book 2yrs in advance

These Hotels are all fully reserved by Tour operators or by individuals that book more than a year ahead, so this one , the Kyriad at Mulsanne etc, all gone by nowGassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
