Only interested in the Vette V8's who are on from 3pm to 3pm. The bands are just an opportunity for local s to hone their skills at pick pocketing.

If there is a decent band on its a good sideshow to the race, no harm watching a band for an hour or so. only problem the last few years the bands have been st. "Shaka Ponk" and "Pony Pony Pony", rubbish. Its about time a decent band came to play.

Yep I only go to France in June to see cars racing around the clock. The bands don't interest me at all.

I agree too ,I was hoping for someone good I really enjoyed UB40 and the Stranglers since those two the bands have been poor,EWF werent up to much last year I thought and radiohead were IMHO atrocious, having been going for more years than I care to remember an hour in the circuit hardly detracts from the racing your in there anyway especially when in La Sarthe for a week.I don't think many people spen every minute trackside so as not to miss anything!!
FWIW none of our crew have been pickpocketed or had any negatives from the locals, any aggravation stemming from the british drunken newbie chav elements who on occasions have almost ruined it,several of our party now just do the classic which is more civilised in such regard.I mean who urinates in a super soaker a fires into someone's pride and joy and thinks its funny??

I always look forward to finding out what band is playing but have been disappointed recently, EWF didn't do it for me nor the French bunch the year before, The Stranglers were great and in the past The Wailers and Charlatans....lets hope they do something good this year. I like the idea of seeing live bands as part of the spectacle and it breaks up the evening.

I've been going for 30 odd year now and as yet have had nothing stolen nor any trouble...you can soon see the groups to avoid and avoid them I do but its a shame we have to.

JK and Jamiroquai were the best yet, followed by the Levellers, Charlatans and The Stranglers. Can't see the problem with diverting your attention for an hour from the race for a bit of free alternative entertainment. Also like the previous poster never had any hassles at Le Mans

Singapore GP mustered up The Killers, Tom Jones, Bob Geldoff and Rhianna (me neither?). Sets the bar rather high in my estimation, so won't be holding my breath! The last few years entertainers at Le Mans have been truly woeful. frown

I think the evening 'gigs' add another dimension to the event. You can take it or leave it, but personally I like it.

ACDC would be epic.....

But it is a very tough choice between the V8's running and ACDC.... Which would win.....

The band can make for an interesting distration from the 24hr of safety car train we've had the last couple of years!
