So after about 35 years the red '24' logo has been replaced. I have to say I was rather fond of it, it wasn't modern or trendy but it was, well, iconic. You could spot it a mile off and immediately you knew what it was. I'm not sure the new one will be as distinctive. IMO, they should have tied the new to the old a little better, color schemes etc.. but I guess it's progress.

No. I don't like it. I didn't like the logo of last year either, but I thought is was just an one-off gold version of the regular one for the 90th anniversary of the first race in 1923. This new one is rather bland and indistinguishable.

I'm quite surprised, the old one is dated but also instantly recognisable. It is like saying the coca cola branding is dated and putting a modern font instead on cans. There is no way that would happen.
Good point. I think that it was a classic icon in much the same way that Coca Cola is. If they wanted to be-brand, I would have thought that evolution is better than revolution; Take the Gulf logo for example, it has evolved through the years to what it is now but the basic ingredients haven't changed that much. The new Le Mans logo will be equally anonymous to seasoned race goers and newcomers alike as it has no visual similarities to the logo we've all got used to over the last 35 years!
