You'll need a Sky Box, Dish and connecting cable at the least as Le Mans coverage is on Eurosport. You will need a stable mount for the dish and the most difficult part is finding the satellite signal but it's not prohibitive. Two person job. One moving the dish about and one watching the telly to shout when signal pops up. There are usually others on a campsite who have a dish set up so you can take a compass bearing off them.

Pointing towards the south of the track is a good starting point

You will need a satellite set-up of some sort. You don't need a sky box. AIUI the race is on Eurosport Deutchland which is FTA on 19.2. As for the footie that should be FTA too. The BBC has recently migrated to a tighter beam but you should still be able to pick it up at Le Mans.

I've taken a dish a few times. It's worth having a go before you leave to get the hang on aligning the dish. Digital boxes are harder to align than the old analogue ones as you have to Make small movements and pause for a moment between to let the box check the signal.

This is an old analogue dish but used for sky digital. The larger dish helps with the slightly weaker signal in Le Mans

One of these can help with finding the satellite signal as you can move the dish around a bit quicker.
