A few years a go we had our normal trip down to le mans ,but we took walkie talkies to keep in cotact with all our group 6 cars 6 walkie talkies and at first very informative then compleat banter ,great laugh .
My question is if you are going down on thursday 8.20 tunnel as we are, or any other day or time what channel should we all use ?? bit of a BANTER ,as you won't be going fast your be looking in the bushes for the frogges (rader traps)

If you have posh walkie talkies, stick to the stabdard 8 channels younget on the ste argos jobs. Balance of probablilities and that.

We'll be on channel 8 unless we find a trucker to upset by repeating clarksonesque accusations about carpets.

Walkie talkies are great fun but don't seem to work well over around 80 to 90 mph or more especially in a Westfield......

I have walkie talkies that I use when Skiing, they are great in the mountains and have a good range but seemed to struggle around the le mans circuit. There seemed to be many people using them and some of the abuse was not pleasant if you happened to be on the same channel as someone else.
Other problem was hearing them over the noise of the cars frown

Mobile phones worked much better over longer distances. They should work well if your within a mile of each other but if the distance is more than that you will struggle hearing each other.
