Just opened my letterbox and a flier from HyperU at Ecommoy, south of Mulsanne towards Tours. Big sale, including a 3 bedroom frame tent at £80, 2 bedroom frame tent at £55 and a small two person at £25. No idea if it's good value or not but to a non-expert seems cheap enough. Oh, and water pistols at £4 the pair and mini supersoaker at a fiver!

Fine, but a 3 bedroom tent at Decathlon is £190, a two bed £170, and a simple tent for two peanuts. That was why I was pointing out that a bit of luxury was on offer at a very cheap price. Probably not the same quality, but fine for a few days camping. And they have clean toilets wink

Personally always found Decathlon the best quality and value for our needs every year. But from what I hear Le Mans will be so packed just as well there is more than one store selling camping type goods.

Thanks for the advice Lowdrag, we're having to travel a little lighter than usual this year as we're "selfishly" driving our sportscars and leaving the glamping gear back in Blighty. It's good to know where the bargains are to be found ...
