So we've been going to Le Mans for about 7 years and from the start were always told that the place to watch sunrise on Sunday morning was Arnage. Every year we have done that, by go-ped or bikes or bus we have always managed to get there. We're now starting to wonder why, do we really need to get to Arnage?(it is a bit of a pain to get to!).

If we can't be bothered to make the trip to Arnage this year where should we go instead?

Thanks

Gary

Porsche curves are good. I like Arnage in the middle of the night.

I agree my vote goes for Arnage - slowly getting lighter in the forest - magical time.

its very good on the pit straight ....near deserted grandstands, a couple of stubby beers, winding down before grabbing a few hours sleep.

For the last 3 or so years we have watched it from around the Esses/ Tertre Rouge. We normally get a couple of hours kip around 1/2am, get up at 4 and head down to the track. Its also fun to see all the "partied out" people stumbling around at that hour hehe

Thanks for all the ideas. I think we'll still do a trip to arnage for some night racing but sunrise on the pit straight and Ferris wheel sounds a good plan!
Cheers

agree with two earlier posters. Porsche curves looking back up towards arnage is a fantastic place to be as night turns into day. Arnage is a great place too but I prefer it in the dark when you can see the brake discs glowing as they approach the corner.

Just my 2p - everyone to their own

That looks like a good spot for the end although I guess it depends how lucky you are with timing so that you get on in time and dont get chucked off just as they cross the line.
