Dashcam - ambarella dashcam 0803 - any reviews?

Might seem like an odd place to post this, but seeing as I've bought it for this trip in mind, I was wondering anyone else had a dashcam, and if it was the 0803, what they made of it? I'm hoping to (a) record the trip down and back to then embed into a vid of the trip, and (b) have something that would prove to any gendarme the speed being done was below the limit (or not mention it if I did get over enthusiastic...)

Anyone? Dashcam? Anyone??

I've got one like that in my RS6, it's a nice little bit of kit. It looks exactly the same at least but it only cost something like £30 off eBay. It's not great at night on low beam in unlit ares but other than that it's very good.

Yeah, it's pretty simple and really small, I like the design as it sits out of the way behind the mirror and you really don't notice it from the outside.
