Which way did you go? How many Police did you spot? Did you get booked for Speeding? Did you see anyone else getting stopped?
Looking forward to hearing your tales in an effort to plan the best routes for next year.

Took the autoroute from calais to rouen on tuesday and back on sunday and did not see a single police speed trap just loads of camera's. Went through rouen both ways and no problem. Took old road from rouen and saw no police on the way down and only two lots on the way back. D338 was pretty empty both ways and a wonderful drive

Autoroute Caen to LM via Alencon here, no gendarmes on the way down Wednesday, "traffic direction" on the LM by pass Sunday on the way back and then none at all. Very quiet in that respect.

Autoroute Calais towards Rouen, diverted west via Yevtot to avoid the main city and down the A28, 1 bike and 1 car until getting into Le Mans (Friday). On the way back, none (Monday)

I agree, on the basis that I drive an Alfetta GTV with effectively a 120 mph rev limiter, it was interesting that the majority of the cars scrupulously kept to the 130kph maximum and dropped down to 110kph in showers. It made it easier to overtake if you could factor out the 155mph loonies.
Less bib on route, admittedly we did stop of at Le Crotoy for a seafood fest, so you miss any major speed traps.
Potentially we are getting older and more risk averse.

Autoroute Calais to Le Mans on Wednesday aimed to go through the centre of Rouen, but a slight diversion after hitting traffic towards the bottom of the dual carriageway in to Rouen. Returned on Sunday leaving immediately after end of race, slight diversion in Rouen due to getting lost!

No police on the way down, saw one unmarked bike on way bike, only knew it was a police bike as it had blue flashing lights on the handlebars which were going as it passed us. Only saw one other set of police on way back.

However I religiously stuck to speed limits, and remember the unmarked police bike mentioned above? Well that passed us shortly after one of the other cars in our group hsd passed us. We were expecting to see them stopped further up the road, but didn't. However it turned out thy were done for speeding, but by a marked bike, and it was a 90 euro fine for 158 kmh in a 130 kmh limit.

Thursday, Le Havre to Le mans, Via Lisieux, then cut over to the A28 Toll road and headed down. Not one Rozzer spotted!
Friday took a anti clockwise direction around Le mans via the A28 Toll ring road, there was a really big police spot check area for cars coming off the toll road into Le mans, I saw lots of cars being pulled over, even some French drivers warned me to turn around and go a different direction, but being as I was heading North I did not see any when I finally left the Motorway.

Sunday leaving Le mans, spotted a couple of Rozzers Setting up equipment, but once outside of the Le mans area, did not spot any all the way to Bayeux.

Dieppe to Le Mans via A28. Going down on Thursday we went past only 1 who sort of waved his arms around in a go slower style. But other than that I didn't really see any police. Even on Friday at the Mad Friday Beausjour roundabout the riot police turned up then sort of walked off.

Went down very late on Wednesday night via autoroute and saw nothing, and autoroute back up on Sunday straight after the race; just the one gendarme with a camera towards Boulogne (which I marked up on Waze).

Went down Friday am. No police sighted but got pulled during a slower part of the drive North of Rouen on the A28 near Foucarmont. Didn't see anyone so guessing it was a chap in camoflage, just escorted off the road by two police bikes where there was a Gendarme base camp set up! Apparently we were doing 158kph (no evidence), €135 and sent on our way with a friendly wave from the very happy and polite Gendarmes.

None seen at all on the way down but we did go an odd route over two days and were very much in plodding mode.

On the way back we saw some at one of the toll plazas but that was all until UK. Then 1001 speed cameras and a very well hidden Police officer who now has me sitting slightly uncomfortably for the next 14 days.

Such a difference in driving standards as well. We really do need to rip up a lot of UK licences...

No, but then I'm not a tool.

No, but then for a lot of the drive I didn't see anyone else (even locals) on the road!

Interesting topic .... we went through the Tunnel so Calais via Rouen to Le Mans. A28 etc...

On the way down (Thursday)I saw nothing. Not a single car or bike and my passenger spent all their time checking the bushes, bridges and also saw nothing. I was shocked.

On the back up on Monday - all we saw were the afore mentioned Aston and M5 that had been pulled into a siding. No cars, bikes or Camo types anywhere else.

I was half expecting somebody to pull me over as I had CruiseControl set at 85 the whole way down and back.

On the way back on Monday up the A28 just south of Abbeville saw a car coming the other way flashing his headlights. So we were on the look out but saw nothing except a white 911 GT3 coming past us at a law breaking speed. Then a few minutes later a Megane Sport police car with blue lights on chasing him down. Saw the 911 being escorted off the motorway frown Other than that not a single thing this year.

Down Tuesday back Monday

Heading home north there was a hidden speed trap before the Peage ends at Boulogne. I had cruise control set at indicated 130 kph the whole way, the red Audi TT coupe that came passed me doing 160-170 kph a few miles before the Peage ended got tugged by the Gendarmes at the toll booths

Must get a dart tag. Didn't get held up at all at the booths bar the above one coming home

Two of my crowd got pulled over at the Boulogne toll for a spot check, Insurance, driving licences and were breathalysed! They passed all required tests but it was a sombre moment considering we had been up to 2am eating and drinking wine.

I got pulled on the way home. 90 Euro fine. I didn't even see the trap. People were flashing so I slowed down, came over a hill and saw a car right down the bottom of a huge hill. So I thought i was fine, but they pulled mw anyway. My mate saw cops behind bridges with laser guns, so they were getting your speed after you passed them. No way of clocking them beforehand.
Anyway, paid my fine then drove home just above the limit.
You can get very carried away in France with the roads being so smooth and wide. 200mph on some of them would probably feel quite safe. 90 euros brought me back to earth with a bump. At least no points.

Roscoff to le mans via some of the E50/N12 but also stayed off the payage as well. 230 miles on the Wed and did not spot 1 Gendarmes or a car
