Wanted to get some feedback from anyone trying to get parked up at various viewing spots over the race weekend and how successful you were, I refuse to buy any additional "parking" tickets on top of camping permits as the ACO have more than enough money from us each year.....

Our group only had MB Camping permits - set off at 1:30am Sunday morning - 5 car convoy:

Stop 1 - Porsche Curves - turned right at the roundabout at Porsche Curves and 30m on the right tried to park in the field as we have done in previous years - check of the camping permit but chap on the gate said no good and would not budge. If I was to turn left at the roundabout and go under the bridge is there a place to try and park there? Will try that next year.

Stop 2 - 2am - after failing above we carried on to Arnage corner - got parked in the 1st car park field opposite the Arnage entrance - Girl on gate not even checking camping/parking tickets just drove in and parked up as normal.

Stop 3 - 4:30am - Drove to Mulsanne and attempted to park where we normally do (brown parking ?) - 10 minute walk down to Mulsanne corner - Security guard looked at our MB camping permit and said no, wrong ticket, can't park (1st time I have been challenged to park here in 10 years). After a quick discussion and a "come on mate, do you realise what it takes to get here each year" comment he relented and let us all in saying "ok - 1 hour only" - we like to watch sun up from Mulsanne corner and we wouldn't be there much longer than that anyway, so all good in the end.

I'll continue to chance my arm without buying additional parking tickets.

Any other good/bad experiences ?

Muslanne. Never had a problem, but never understood what tickets they are looking for.... Just show camping pass and general entry this year and he seemed happy enough.

Could not get into any Arnarge when we tried so decided to give Tetre Rouge a go. Could not even find the car park and ended up ditching the car (almost literally) on the side of a slip road amongst other French cars.

Didn't have any problem parking at Arnage corner when we went there. There was an additional parking place just up the road from the campsite and there was plenty of room. I was slightly worried that the queue for the shuttle bus was a queue to get in to the viewing area though.

Actually getting to the corner proved tricky at first when I tried to go down past the back of the stands. That was solid so I followed a few other folk and pulled a U-ey and then drove round the east side of the circuit initially following the diversion towards Tours then cutting across and following likely roads until I found other cars obviously going to the same place I was looking for.

All you need is GA ticket and that gets you entry in at every public entrance. I have never been stopped for entering car parks.
