Having watched a guy spend 20 minutes with a full toolkit unscrewing a flagpole in order to get the 2014 flag from the top, I'm very curious to see what other Souvenirs have found their way back to the UK.

I'll start the ball rolling..

There was some banners masking the back of the team motorhome rest areas. As we left the local scouts who'd been going around doing litter picking arrived and swarmed all over it like wasps. Then it be gone.

I saw a guy with a bbs rim, and another guy with a 6ft (ish) plastic Audi badge.

We did a spot of snooping behind the pits after the race. I didnt take anything but we could have had a drivers seat insert, any amount on broken carbon fibre or a podium finisher's laurel wreath. Instead I filled my pockets with gravel and bits of discarded tyre!

I have a greaves motorsport rear wing end plate (slightly damaged) that was carelessly left laying around behind the pits on Sunday night

AMR ran a charity auction for some of the body work panels, so I imagine that it was this route to ownership as opposed to it falling off the back of a Camion de Depannage. I would love to have had a wall big enough for it.

you mean these ? :-)

There were 4 for sale (2 right, 2 left) amongst a total of about 20 or so items - our group bought 3 of them (we didn't actually discuss it until after the bidding deadline and it turned out coincidentally we'd all gone for side sills but luckily not the same ones as each other)

They are from last years LM cars and you can see a silver plaque from AMR just to the right of the mesh on each sill in the photo

We were watching this whilst trying to finish off the remainder of our beers (and watching some generally mediocre attempts at donuts - they don't work well if people forget to turn off their traction control!) - didn't the guy fall off on one of your later laps??? Hope he was on the grass at the time, not the tarmac!!!

That was someone from another group who wanted a go on it actually - made a right mess of his leg by the looks of things, must have found some rock in the grass. Blood everywhere yuck The donuts were average at best i do agree, was tempted to show them how to do it in the Lexus, but feared i might break it/have to walk home to England.
