Joining Porsche for 2015, he's going to be racing at spa too. I like nico, he's one of the under rated ones!

Rules out a potential Jenson Button at Porsche then?

Well it is not often the BBC even mentions Le Mans so perhaps another sign that the main media are beginning to see that there is motor sport besides f1

Why does it rule out Jenson? They're taking 3 cars to La Sarthe in 2015, so 9 available driver slots.

Well they have 7 drivers signed, so only 2 available drivers slots.

Very underrated, I suppose at least this way he gets to show off his talent in a top flight car, an opportunity I fear may never present itself in f1. I hope there's a trend toward this sort of this over the next few years. Think WEC may be entering a golden era if the rumours about various new entries into lmp1 come to fruition. It's certainly more relevant to modern motor engineering than f1 is.

Max Chilton also has an option for a drive in LMP1, too.

Please tell me more about the rumoured new LMP1 entries. Are these from manufacturers?

I know about Nissan, I was thinking about programmes that have not been announced. Ferrari sounds good, any ideas about when?

As soon as they get some funding for it, apparently.

According to autosport Nico approached porsche about the chances of a drive for them. Also said he wants to do Le mans because he is a wec fan not because of the money. Times are changing and endurance racing is the place to be
