WEC Silverstone... Pit walk with party music????

Why on earth does the pit walk require "atmosphere" courtesy of some deafening repetitive thump thump thump drone masquerading as music?
A lot of sensible ideas on the day... e.g. crossing the track to get back to the grandstand.
But the music is simply not needed.
