Rouen Delays?

What are the delays like in Rouen now, are there still diversions or is it still best to go via Yvetot?

well I went through it last year and on the return and there wasn't a massive delay just seemed like a normal busy day.i don't plan to divert this year either!!

The only thing that worries me about going through Rouen again is just after the peage going into the town. The speed limit changes and the police on the Monday are waiting for you.

The bridge works were completed last August, so it is just normal traffic to deal with.

I came down through Rouen from Calais today.
The first Peage station on the A28 at Boulogne is down to 2 lanes as they are modernising it.
Will it be fixed in a month? No idea.

Rouen itself is fine - no issues.

Approaching Rouen, about 20 miles north, there is a speed restriction on both carriageways as they are replacing central reservations. There would be outside lane closures if they were working. Again...fixed in a month? Who knows?

I live near Rouen, there are usually no delays except for the weekends of this mouth because of "bank holidays" and many people are going to beaches..

If I get more informations about roadworks and other speed restrictions I'll tell here.

With the bridge closed ive had the best runs thru Rouen in the 14 years ive been going to Le Mans

Have been going through Rouen, for about 20+ years and just dislike it, bridge or no bridge.

I think it's those depressing marshalling yards

Our Tuesday night hotel is right by the bridge Mathilde. Last years Wednesday traffic was a bit of a pain, nothing to do with the bridge, but the taxi drivers protesting over the Uber app and crawling along the river. Staying at the same hotel this year so hoping for a clear run to the N138.

Last year we went over one bridge to the right. skipped the queuing traffic by the marshaling yard. very tempted to do the same again.

I'd also like to know what happened to the insurance premium of the lorry company that melted the old bridge....
