Anyone else staying on Beausjour ?
would be good to camp next to like minded car people rather than the usual "Roustabouts"

(Last year worked great as we met up with a great bunch of people)

I think that most people you meet there will be there for the race and after 30 years camping at various places i can say that i have rarely camped next people that were anything other than friendly

Team Funkenbroken on BSJ as usual but down to 3. Look for blue '53 VW camper, usually nestled in the woods

Anyone know whether they are likely to march you to a pitch or if you can roll up and pitch where you want - it seems to be getting more and more organised each year at BSJ but we always go get the same pitch each time. Nothing a €20 bill wouldn't solve I guess. We (there's nine of us this year) normally go up near the end shower block, back near the fence (I had the yellow 'AA van' Esprit last time)...

We have always gone and found our own little pitch, I have seen some groups extract the urine by making their "pitch" roped off and massive. I will keep an eye out for the Yellow beasty. I'm in a Red TVR support car with a white 1 series M spec

We normally camp near the Porsche Curves but in the smaller field near the forest so its close for night ops.

What are the woods like for mozzies?
Sadly, as we need the space this time we'll be in three normal-ish cars...

I have never had an issue with them but then again its usually wet and freezing at night.

If they take you to a pitch you don't like (say next to some Belgians with a sound system set up, or the Danish bus and their marquee whistle) stand around gassing for a bit and then go somewhere else.

Looks like we have our own Pistonfest if we all pitch up in one place.

This is what we usually do, wait them to lead you to a pitch on their bicycle, wait for them to go, and find somewhere better!

We're there again next year, arriving Wednesday lunchtime.

You should spot my Mazda3 (have a look in the stickered up for Le Mans thread)

Yup we'll be there again - Range Rover with Caravan. We've lost the 520d this year in favour of an E39 M5 (assuming his sensors do not bork). Worked well last year......

The slower half of our party will be arriving Wednesday evening.
