Airtrack Cancellation Spot

Guys, I am trying to get X1 spot with in the Airtrack Village.

Airtrack keep saying its full with zero cancellations which having been there every year for 5 years, this simply cant be true.

If any of you are going into Airtrack and end up with a spot free please shout on here so I can reference the open slot on the phone to Airtrack.

If Mustard1978 is already sorted or if anyone else has or gets a late cancellation on an Airtrack / Thomas Cook pass please let me know. We've got a group of 9 going down and a 10th who is currently setting up a camp for 1 elsewhere We don't need parking or a camping pitch as we've got room for him, we just need to buy a spare wristband. Thanks!

Is it just me or have Thomas Cook been spectacularly ste this year. The amount of jobsworths and hassle I have had on the phone with them has been amazing.

Guy at the site are always great but the head office jokers are a nightmare!

To be fair to them they've been ok with me and it's my mistake in ordering 9 passes when I needed 10. Last year I had a spare at the very last minute that I couldn't get rid of so it's sods law that this year it's the opposite! I can't remember them selling out before and this year the prices have been hiked up by about 30% so I'm wondering if the site is going to be smaller. If it's the same size or bigger then the company's financial woes might be a thing of the past! Good luck with your hunt and if you find 2 please let me know and I'll be sure to do the same. As a first time booker with them I had some fun and games when I needed to cancel with three months to go, cost me 50% of my booking price!!

Sure it's a great site but I've gone back to my first choice and I won't ever bother with TC again, same old problem, corporate logic, you're not dealing with real people.

They were planning on cutting some of the trees down after last year and putting in more of the pitches with tents included (which were on the smallest pitches in the world). They were also claiming that some of the other campsites were getting smaller so they thought demand would be much higher.

At least the old house hasn't been bought for corporate events yet - I heard Porsche were going to buy and renovate it. Certainly a nice bit of history.

Cheers guys, maybe i will start another thread on this but I would be interested to see what other options there are for camping that is secure (Airtrack has that lovely high fence!), has its own bar, decent loos, showers and leccy hook up.


Next year im hunting elsewhere first
