I'm sure you all know, but for anyone going that way try and remember the HADECS on either side of Clacket Lane services. After years of travelling that route (Salisbury-Dover) uninterrupted, last year we got flashed out of nowhere by the new camouflaged cameras. They weren't on line at the time so we didn't get tickets but I'm sure they're working by now!

I have been told that there are 40MPH average speed cameras in place as you exit the tunnel on the M20 and that these are active

Best to be carefulcertainly but no tickets are being issued for flashes unless reduced limits are in force.
SPECS near tunnel are a different story

That's down to policy of the local operators. They can be active at 70 if they wish.

Also be aware of one M1 southbound, just before the M25 slip lane (this might have been moved) and 2 southbound, 1 northbound, M1 near J26.

Correct, they do not 'flash' either. Resaonably easy to spot though, at the side of the gantry.

Whilst on the subject but I know not relevant for Le Mans
M1 north bound new HADECS cameras.
2miles north of Jct 26, on the end of a overhead gantry but very well hidden by trees.
and also one on the M1 to M18 north bound slip road.

They do. I saw one go off on the opposite carriageway a couple of days ago.

edited to add there were no reduced speed limits in place either.

A lot of reports have been drivers getting done at 70+ so just dont risk it.

Also witnessed flashing during testing over the last few years on the M1 near Luton. Seemed like every other vehicle triggered a flash.

People were getting away with the reduced speed fine by saying, "the the lower speed wasn't displayed in the lane they were in. Prove it wasn't". They have now installed cameras further back that also takes a picture of the gantry and your car...
