Fresh water source at Tertre Rouge campsite?
Discussion
Hi Leozwalf,
according to club arnage:
Three toilet & shower ‘portacabins’ are kept clean usually with hot water for showers. Queues aren’t massive, even at the busiest times. Water standpipes are located near each of the toilet blocks, and have standard threaded tap fittings. In 2008 there were just 3 electric hook-up points across the entire site, you’ll need to come with plenty of extension cables and extension blocks if you want juice on tap.
You should be in luck, let us know how you get on!

This sounds very good indeed. Thanks white-noise.Reckon I'll do the run down there with several litres on board then hopefully be able to fill it up at TR when we arrive.

Generally around Europe, some Campsites allow Motorhomes on to empty their tanks and take on water for a small fee - could be an option if you can find one locally..Reckon I'll do the run down there with several litres on board then hopefully be able to fill it up at TR when we arrive.
As said by others there are taps at the toilet blocks and a few others dotted around the campsite, if you arrive in plenty of time stop by the toilet block and fill up before parking the van, once on site you will probably not be able to move very easily. But filling up large water containers is easy.
If I remember correctly there's a line of standpipes along the concrete wall, plus a few on the track-side of the campsite.
When swimming pools were banned they were fitted with special nozzles to stop people running hoses from them but they're easily removable.
Take a hose, a selection of tap fittings & a pipe-wrench & you'll be fine.
