Changing Car Details - 1st Tickets

Hello

I need to change the registration number of the car I am taking to LeMans for the ferry etc...

I have contacted P&O and they have said I need to go through 1st tickets as I booked a package through them however I cannot get in contact with them on the phone as they are now at LeMans!

What options do I have? As I don't want to turn up for the ferry and not be allowed on as I am in a different car... Was originaly and 06 A4 and is a now a 14 5 Series Touring

I had to do this one year with LD lines out of Pompey week before I was due to sail rang LD lines and they said no probs happens all the time just turn up. lady at checkin said as long as the passports matched the passenger booking all is well. This was LD lines though not P&O have you pressed the issue withe P&O that you cannot contact the tour operator?

Ive had this before and simpy called P&O - that was booked through 1st tickets as well. They are flexi tickets iirc, so no charge either. Alternatively, as long as the passengers/booking number match, vehicle reg doesnt really matter - ours are sometimes tbc as they are decided the day we leave lol.

I asked Brian the exact same question on vehicle change details as one of our party was dithering on which car to take. I was told that you can change the details as you check-in if necessary.

OP, don't sweat it, you'll be able to do it at check-in in the worst case. They have to allow for this, just in case your first car breaks down first thing and you have to grab something else to take your holiday in. You won't be the first, I'd just make sure to leave a little extra time when arriving at the port just in case someone's made a mess up somewhere.

Worst case, just take a set of plates with the reg that is on the pass and stick them on when you get to the port and take them off when you've gone through!

1st tickets have told us that we can do it at the Ferry check in booth. We have a couple of guys going in a hire car that isn't being picked up till today so they don't know their Reg yet either.

I have managed to get the reg changed now anyway direct with P&O really looking forward to it now
