WEC app - not impressed so far

All set up at home with Eurosport on the TV, WEC app on the iPad, beer, junk food etc. but annoyingly the WEC app keeps hanging. Even when I get a live picture feed there is no timing data showing.

The live stream is working well for me (on the TV through airplay) and the live track map is good. No timing data either though so using this.

No timing data feed was seen at the track either ! The App was a waste of time. It only started working for me after the race, which was a tad late.

The app was useless for the first 3 hours of the race, guess they had load issues. Very poor. Associated site worked fine and I streamed the video through that, although the quality of that was very variable as well. Eurosport player for me next year, if I can't go.

App was terrible, I constantly got errors either saying no internet connection or no live race

I had the same problems, I suspect it's because of the bandwidth problems as it must have been a busier time than the 6hr races. Bit disappointing given the cost.

I had the same for the first few hours and had to fall back on Eurosport for coverage, although by about 7/8pm it seemed to have stabilised. Although that merely served to demonstrate how woeful the official WEC commentary team were; neither of the two main pundits seemed to have a clue what they were talking about, and somehow they managed to make even the most exciting incidents of the race seem hum-drum

Ended up muting the WEC stream and relying on trusty old Radio Le Mans!

Oh yeah, they were dire. I gave up on that commentary pretty quickly and had RLM on, much better!
