Memorable moment for me was being overtaken by two Aston Martins on the peage, One was a V600 Vantage le mans V8 in dark green the other was a more modern Dark silver Vantage, (i think). They went past me like I was in Reverse! And Oh What a noise from the V600. cloud9

Because I went there & back at silly times, I didn't see many cars, this chap & his Aston driving pals were a welcome diversion:

I think we were near him most of the way home, saw him about 3 times on the way back to Calais.

Mine were, in no order:

- Seeing some serious metal there and back, loved the Grey RS6 estate and green GT3 RS in the PH camp, as well as the Aston DJFish posted

- The half Lego Porsche in the Village

- The Friday night in down generally but buying a silly bottle of vodka at the drivers parade - worst but funniest idea ever, including my mate passing out at about 9pm.

- Lastly, someone in PH with a VW camper tent, I need one of them in my life, so cool!

Getting robbed, a friendly PHer ringing my mobile next morning as my gear was strewn out in his gazebo (Sans money, jacket and bank card), and he found a document with my no on it. All my boys then clubbed in and made the cash up that got stolen off me.

Sneaking into the classic race cars enclosure in town in our Limo, 9 up.

Seeing a non Audi win was memorable! I had thought they would have the class over the others but it didnt go as planned this year for them.

Watching our friendly Dutch neighbours fire basketballs out of a milk urn last night was also a first!

I'll add that I love the sound of the DBR1 in the support race cloud9

Realising at 9m on Tuesday night as I prepared for departure at 5am on Wednesday that rather than Expo camping tickets I had been provided with (and paid for) parking tickets.

Then around 15 minutes later realising I had failed to book a ferry!

All resolved satisfactorily, but think I can expect it to be talked about for years. Mind you my group were careful not to go on about it for too long realising that otherwise I might tell them to do the organisation!

Being 'that guy' on the side of the toll road under his bonnet with a spanner, and resolving the situation with a hammer. Oh, and not catching fire, that was good.

Finding out they'd built us a skidpan...yikes

Waking up to that Dodge Charger parked in the gravel trap hehe

The marshals on the start line taking a picture of us smile

Oh, yes, and Audi not winning!

Audi not winning

The heartbreak of the Aston crashing out at hour 23

Taking and fitting our own toilet seat in the campsite!

That poor Aston came straight at me. I had just come into the grandstand area and was standing in front of the grandstand at the metal rail behind the fence when I heard a noise, looked round a saw the Aston coming straight at me. Whist I knew I was behind a fence and a tyre wall I have to confess I did jump back a little.

I felt so sorry for him though, you could just see the distress he was feeling. Hats off to him for recognising the crowd and marshalls after he’d had a while to gather himself.

Petrol winning over diesel power biggrin

Lola Aston Martin LMP1 noise (likewise)

Finally making it to Arnage on my 4th le mans. In the dark too.

Arriving on Friday afternoon to our numbered pitches that had not been pinched by anyone, and sitting down for a beer with my mates.

Walking away after the end of the race thinking that's it, I'm never coming back.

Then thinking, well, maybe not.........

Awesome pics ellroy - how did you get in the pits?

Things I'll remember:

Not to pay €14 for a cold burger and chips in the circuit again, but to use the van outside the MB entrance
Not to do tequila's in a bar on the square after the drivers parade again!
Getting lost in BSJ while searching for a way to walk to Arnage... grrrr
The sound of 2 Aston's (Vanquish & 12 Vantage S) & Gallardo spyder in the Rouen tunnel
To go via Yvetot from now on..
