No, not the food or the wine.

Not the women or the weather.

No, it's the low-level repeaters on their traffic lights. It's amaxing how convienient these are to those of us in lower cars!

Nod nod nod. Saves all those silly louvres where you could confuse another set of lights for a repeater too. There's a set of lights near my Mum's house that if I stop far enough back to see the light the loop doesn't pick me up. The lights by the tram stop on the way into Parking Rouge have a sign that says advance up to the light, so presumably they are the same.

Yep I get that sometimes, but I usually try and work it so that I can see a reflection of the light in the bonnet rather than craning to look up all the time

Yes! In the MX5 I can't see the normal lights.

We also stopped at roadworks where the red light had a countdown to when it goes green, was most impressed

You went a different route? I thought there were about 8 traffic lights total on the normal route, barely enough stops to notice the difference.

Agreed. I can't wait until my drive down to France next year.

Having just covered over 2000 miles in France, I cannot agree.

There is smooth tarmac, but there are plenty of truly crappy surfaces as well - even on autoroutes.

Hey, you don't get to comment stay-at-home, would-rather-use-the-money-to-put-a-tow-bar-on-my-boring-VW loser-boy! biggrin

Not many sets, but as the French don't seem to use their roads you're always right at the front, under the light.
