We tend to have a wander down to these corners during the race/practice.

I've picked up something that I don't understand and have been told that you now require a seperate parking ticket to park at Muslanne/Arnage. To date our camping tickets have been enough to get us into these areas..

Can anyone give further clarification. ACO site is not that helpful in this regard...

During the race you've always needed a dedicated parking ticket for Arnage/Mulsanne as far as I'm aware. I think sometimes they've been slack checking though.

A fe years back, yes, a camping pass from another site would have got you into the car parks at Arnage / Mulsanne, but then they introduced a separate parking ticket for those locations and yes, as has been noted, they do check even at early o'clock on a Sunday morning.

You should be able to buy Mulsanne/Arnage parking from the main ticket office - probably not the gate itself.

There is free parking at Arnage but it's much further down the road from the ticketed parking field. Mulsanne they are usually pretty hot on the pass requirement and it's a longer walk than you expect if you have to park outside the ticketed zone.

I've been to Le Mans ten times. We always go to Arnage corner on Saturday evening and never felt the need for a seperate parking ticket. The free parking is 500 yards further, at most.

Parked there for years never been challenged to present any ticket let alone a specific parking ticket early AM sunday morning. Usual entrance ticlet check for the Arnage/Mulsanne enclosures but nothing for the car.

This.

Similarly at Mulsanne, Ive not been challenged when parking in the field where the shuttle goes to in all the years with gen admin. This is downstream from mulsanne as the track goes.

Perhaps there is a separate parking similar to the campsite at each which is being referenced.

Ticketed parking area is said field where the shuttle buses go at the entry to the Mulsanne camping/viewing ground. The ticket check point is 1000m up the road from there which is where you'll need to leave the car if they don't let you in. For the sake of €12 it's worth just getting the ticket! I never managed to get past the ticket check monkey without the pass in the years before I started getting one.

Unfortunately there is no definitive concrete answer that anyone on here can give you. It'll depend totally on who is on the gate when you get there, what sort of mood they are in and whether they feel like letting you in or not frown

For Mulsanne last year I parked somewhere in the village on the eastern side of the D338 and walked to the entry at the end of the winding street through the industrial area past lots of parked cars to the entry nearest the corner.

The year before at Arnage at about 2 am I was let into the second car park with a Parking Rouge ticket.

Never needed to show anything but a mixture of camping / GE tickets to get into that car park....

We're driving to Le Mans overnight on the Friday, can we park in the car park in the early hours of Saturday or is the an opening time?
