So for he first time in more years than I care to remember I will not be heading down to La Sarthe due to paying for a wedding.
So this year if I can't "sticker up my car" I will decorate my garden with a gazebo, Big TV, BBQ and I will be leaving my dumpy beers outside from today so they get nice and warm ready for Thursday night qualifying.

If you are not heading down what plans do you have to watch the race. Is it party in the garden with the sprinklers turned on every 2 hours as well ?

PS I'm not bitter honest furious

Ouch, that's a pretty crummy reason to have to stay home frown

There will be plenty of people raising a bevvy on your behalf so don't worry about that. And there's always next year smile

Double punishment! You must have been very bad.

Don't forget to fill your wellies with mud/piss/vomit for the true wet Le Mans experience

First time missing the race since , was there on holiday 2 weeks ago to see the town and area in peace and quiet.

Strangely excited about watching it on the app this weekend, but of course gutted I'm not there in person!!

Enjoy your trip if you are going and show the French that not all British sports fans are drunken hooligans........

Aye, we cannot make it this year with the rest of the Manbulance crowd due to a house extension that is coming to an end. We hope to have the TV and a sofa set up in time for the off! whoop whoop

So, after a non-stop run of 35 years - 1981-2015 - I couldn't be arsed after the ACO website fked up again and I couldn't get T18 tickets. I sold the ones I did get, and the GE and the parking, and the very nice hotel, and I shall be watching on Eurosport and listening on Radio LM.

It was probably a bad decision and I will regret it I'm sure but, on the upside, I will be warm and dry/in the shade (delete as applicable); I will have a nice clean bathroom; endless cans of cheap cold beer; all my meals provided at cost and a comfy sofa to recline on and, big fanfare, I won't have to drive 25 miles through the French coutryside in the dead of night avoiding horses, deer and wild boar, not to mention owls and bats, foxes and stoats....

We'll see anyway but I think this will be a one-off. Another good thing is, I now won't be tempted to try and do 50 on the trot as I won't live long enough :-)

Desperately waiting my chance to get out to Le Mans. As a 23 year old student the funding is currently lacking, next year I plan on being there for the first time.

I shall be watching the eurosport player le mans feed (as opposed to the eurosport 1 and 2 coverage, partly as I don't have eurosport on my TV and they have a raw feed with no commentary only trackside audio available) with Radio Le Mans over the top.

You'll need more than sprinklers to replicate the authentic lm 2016 weather!

My house is currently a building site, so no trip for me this year. I've got a big birthday next year, so will be going for the whole week. I'm going to sticker up my car for the first time next year too.

I got our "le mans" fridge full of CFL* and I intend to stand in the shower drinking one in solidarity with our brothers who will be getting very wet this weekend
