Not sure what the issues are but very long queues for each. The CRS is out in large numbers trying to tackle immigrants too. Lots of tear gas being used near the entrance to the port. Been queuing for 30 min without moving much so far...

Found the reason for the ferry queues. Immigrants attacking vehicles by throwing large branches and rocks to slow everything down.

Have you moved any further? We have just come off the motorway and have been queuing on the slip road for an hour. Lots of police cars and CRS wagons driven past. Not moving an inch.

Took us about an hour to get to passport control but we started queuing further in than you I think. We have another member of our group stuck back queuing from the motorway. There were immigrants breaking down the fences when another of our team went past... Hard to say what's happening now.

We're stuck on the motorway near the junction. Zero movement here..not ideal!!

Our guys just got here. There is a route through Calais town that gets you in bypassing all the queues. If you can still get off the main entrance road, do that.

We're also in the queue, just where the curved slip road straightens out, and can see that the police have blocked the motorway ahead. Hopefully they're working to make things safe for us before moving us on. I need a wee though.

I'm in the yellow Elise, Police have just stopped people from turning around and getting back on the motorway. He also said he has no idea how long it will be until it gets under control. Madness

Took us nearly an hour to get through the war zone, drove through the tear gas and eventually got to the port. Still managed to catch our ferry, thankfully.
Saw the queues for the chunnel frown

Glad I went Plymouth - Roscoff now! Shorter drive from Le Mans to Roscoff, compared to Calais. No queues, a nap and meal on the ferry, and a 20 min drive home!

Think we were 7 hours from the motorway slip road to getting on a train. Still, everyone was in the same boat and spirits seemed reasonably high in the holding area. According to the UK customs lady there were no enhanced security checks on Monday so seems the issue was all on Eurotunnel following a broken down train earlier in the day.

And to "Team Le Man's Friends" in your silver VW pick up, pushing your way in at the very last moment off the motorway over the chevrons into the exit sliproad is called queue barging and was a display of very poor form indeed.

Yep it was similar for us - started queing off the motorway at 3pm, got on a train at 1045pm. Picked the worst moment to head to mcdonald's though as no sooner had we left than I had a call to say the lines were moving...

I sat in my car for ages in the pre-boarding queue until finally the signs said "Boarding in 30min". More than enough time for a pee thinks I... Shame that message actually mean "Boarding in 5min, just as soon as you've walked in to the toilet block".

A train damaged the electricity wires in the tunnel which cut power to both tunnels for a couple of hours which built up the queues on a very busy day anyway.
