........from HELL !!!!!!
Set off at 1130hrs, to get 1755hrs ferry from Calais. No chance....finally, after a 4hr delay, and being re-routed around the environs of Calais, watching various groups trying to stow away in/on the stationary lorries, and in some cases pilfering their contents of trainers, got the 2200hrs ferry, to arrive home at 2345hrs. Slog up towards the north, to be frustrated by a closed M1, and a further 1hr delay. Manchester by 0430hrs, to drop off son#1, then son#2 drop off at 0700hrs, home at 0800hrs for a good sleep.

I always make sure I've left the campsite by 6am on the Monday morning now. Was booked on a 12.20 train, but managed to get onto the 11.20. Queued for 20mins to get through passport control, then got to the terminal building to find two other cars in the car park - it was deserted!
M25 was slow so ended up going cross-country, and cursed having to do it until I saw the updates on what I'd left behind. Feel for all you guys who got stuck in it.
