Eurosport Highlights Programme - dire...

Am I the only person who thought the highlights programme was absolutely awful? I watched it to fill in some of the gaps due to being at the circuit, but came away none the wiser!

- The guy doing the voice over spoke in disjointed sentences, with pauses mid sentence for no reason. And other sentences were run into each other with no pause!
- Some of the time I didn't understand what he was saying - he just talked nonsense.
- He made mistakes and then corrected himself - this was not live so it could have been edited.
- The footage had no time / lap number on it, so you had no idea of when things were happening.
- At one point he said a number of cars had crashed - they showed the footage (from different points in the race) but made no comment on which cars they were or the drivers.
- The only time there was some useful information was when it cut to the full commentary for the last 5 mins of the race!

Searched for a good highlights program too yesterday, for the same reason. WEC's has no commentary, strangely enough.

I believe Quest have a highlights show with Hindy commentating (also saw Channel 4 have one) but I haven't watched any of them yet as I'm listening to the podcasts of the entire race :-)

Not that keen to relive it to listen to ALL the podcasts of the race!!! But I'll look out for the other ones!

The FIA WEC highlights programmes are all on YouTube. But as somebody else mentioned, there is no commentary. The have 5 min progs for each couple of hours.

Channel 4 have a 30 min highlights programme this Sunday at 0730. It is preceded by a 25 min Le Mans Preview!

Quest have a number of programmes available, but only a few days left to view them. The other programmes can be found by following the links below, but these are the key ones:

I'm not so worried about this year, though I'd like to show the kids where I was all last week, but it would be good to know there's at least something available next year as I doubt I'll be there.

Unless Mrs T has had a change of heart by then . . . !
