I have used ETA for many years for my European breakdown cover, but it would appear that now my car is over 10 years old, prices have jumped somewhat - nothing is less than £70 for the week. Is there anyone that can recommend somewhere cheaper? I need some cover as I know it is a nightmare if if goes wrong!

I'm going to be using RAC this year. I'm not aware of their policies on cars over 10 years old. The quote takes 2 seconds to do.

I use RAC, individual trip prices are silly but it only cost me £100 to add euro cover to my family cover for 4 people, it covers all of us for as many trips as you make in any car, so it covers me for spa just completed, le mans test day, le mans and spa in september. Plus daughters for thier trips to europe, Individual trips would be over £60 each. No limit on age of car you are in.

I've used vehicle rescue direct (www.vehicle-rescue.com) in the past, they cover older cars, never had to claim though.

Be careful with the RAC, they automatically renewed my cover this year without telling me, when I no longer needed it.

I'm doing a single trip cover with them for £30ish.

As said online quotes only take a few minutes, but remember that individual trips are for one car but if you do annual cover you are covered for all cars you drive or are a passenger in whatever the age
