yes it was 5 euros, best time to go during the race is at night, queues shorter and view better, but certainly worth doing

I always try to get a ride on it at about 6/7am on Sunday morning. If the weather's clear, it gives some great views as the sun comes up.

It went up last year fron €5 to a lot more, can't remember how much but it was more. (Plus crap exchange rate now.)

Cant recall how much it was last year, but another vote for night time - have down circa 3am for the last 2 years and you get a feel for how big the area is from all the lights and of course a good view of the cars going by pretty much underneath. Sunrise on the wheel sounds a good idea as well ☺
