Been a few times before, 1974 was my 1st time, 3 of us going in my t5 camper with awning, my intention is not to drive the van at all from the time we arrive and set up at bleu nord on the wednesday until we leave on monday. My question is, is it easy to ge into le mans town using the tram ie how long to walk to the tram, also more importantly to me, how long a walk is it to arnage?

It's not a bad walk from Bleu to Arnage. The road between Bleu Nord and Sud, goes straight to Arnage. Probably 20 min walk at a leisurely pace.

I assume this is for the parade?

As the pitwalk is on that day you could go from nearer there when done.

thinking of going to Arnage on the Thursday night practice also from Bleu Nord - looks like 3k on google maps so 30-35 mins walk. Thought there's a little train/navette going there as well.

Tram stop Antares looks closer but no idea how it's set up inside circuit for main race as have only been to Classic a couple of times and not the main race.

Does the pedestrian tunnel at the start of the start finish straight allow access to the village area and Bugatti circuit area or do the pits/paddock area make using that tunnel a problem?

You can use that tunnel that goes under the finish line and walk to the big pedestrian entrance near the Antares stop. It is better to get the tram there than Tetre Rouge as the the trams start empty at Antares.
