Le Mans Qualifying
Discussion
Hi all,
Just concluding a tour of Europe on my motorcycle. Got a room (well looks like somebody's shed actually) about 8 miles from the circuit. I'm only in town for the Wednesday night so just hoping to watch qualifying.
Can you buy a ticket for just qualifying day?
Any recommendations for where to view? And where I could park my bike?
Many thanks.

Hi there. I thought not but the ACO website seems to suggest there is a Thursday qualifying ticket available from 29 Euros.

Where to stand seems quite personal but if I was there I would start at the Porsche Curves inside the track for the start of qualifying (near Beausejour camping so you'll get some atmosphere) then during the session work my way up North towards the big wheel to see the cars emerge onto the main straight. During the second session I would start in the tribunes on the start/finish straight where you can see some pit action then head up to beyond the Dunlop Curves for the end of the second session. You'll see lots of different parts of the track in a relatively short time.
Have fun - qualifying is very entertaining.
