According to just tickets all car parks are full. Damit. Any ideas for alternative or free parking near the circuit.

You can join the locals in parking for free on every grass verge in the vicinity of the circuit.

I believe there's pay-on-the-day parking at the circuit.

Another alternative is to park in a random suburb close to one of the tram stops and get the tram to the circuit.

What he said really. The locals seem to abandon their cars in bushes and hedges anywhere near the circuit. Parking in the town and getting a tram sounds like a good plan.

Or help someone out that has a camping ticket going spare. You will probably get closer and can then put a tent down for the night.

Experience tells that Les Flic will happily watch you park on the verges etc .then clobber you with a parking ticket or tow

They seem to let them stay down by Houx. I've seen tents next to the cars too, so they have obviously been there a while. I have often thought how they get away with it.

Yup seems quite random ,not sure I would risk it , normally find last minute tickets here .

I drive in every day and find a place on the streets sometime have to go round twice and I know the local.

If you are prepared to spend 36 euro more than free, then the ACO have 14 tickets left in P Zone Rouge, which is right by the main entrance:

If I had a French registered car I would risk it!

Increasingly in recent years they put those temporary metal fences along the verges to stop this - especially the road down through the middle of the circuit past Houx / Houx Annex / Epinettes towards BSJ.

I would park in town nr Carrefour Sud and get the tram.

According to ACO website these car parks are free (although they haven't updated last years dates biggrin ) :

"6 car parks free of charge from Wednesday 14 June to Sunday 18 June: Actisud, M1, Bleu, Fresne, Raineries*, Héronnière (subject to space available when you arrive) *free shuttle service."

I'm guessing security probably isn't great / non existent so best not to leave your weekend pride and joy there and hide valuables in boot!

We found a big empty car park by the tram stop for the circuit last year. I assume it is used by commuters normally. A few camper vans were parked in there though.
