Given that Rothmans cigarettes are still sold around the world (and still in their traditional colours in less nanny-state countries) I wonder how Porsche got round the ban on tobacco advertising with that paint job? They even talk about the "Rothmans" livery on their website.
Not complaining though, I think they both look fab and I might even have a dabble when the inevitable Spark Model collectors' double pack is released...

I'm surprised they officially mentioned the R-word as I assume there isn't a problem having certain colour schemes as long as they aren't getting paid for it.
Yeah, me too. The photo gallery on the link above is labelled "Starting number 91 in Rothmans paintwork"Cheeky!

It was the factory teams official name for quite a few years so I'm sure (in the same way that Marlboro-Ferrari was allowed in F1) there is a loophole. The historic cars have used the "racing" version of the paintwork for years, much like they did in the non-tobacco races in period.Cheeky!
I think they're great, its just a shame the 919 didn't get something as good when it was racing.

Would have loved to see a pink pig 918.I think they're great, its just a shame the 919 didn't get something as good when it was racing.
Best sounding car I’ve heard for years - apparently each one is hitting nearly 130db... and there’s 10 of them.
Epic.
