Was listening in on RLM.

P1 looks to be a foregone conclusion, with a privateer battle the only small interest.

P2 relatively close, as you’d expect.

GT Pro, that’s the one, about 1s covering the first 12 cars! Nice to see vette up the front.

AM also very close with 7 cars within 1s.

Let’s see what qualifying brings, but the front doesn’t look like being a classic for sure.

I'm not sure it's as much of a foregone conclusion in LMP1 as everyone thinks, it's not as though the Toyota's are 10 seconds a lap faster than the best of the rest. I'm still really looking forward to challenges across all the classes.

They’ve been hobbled as far as the ACO/WEC are prepared to go and are roughly 2.5s a lap quicker. I strongly suspect they’re faster than that, but are keeping it within reasonable limitations so as not to get hit again before the off.

I'm happy to watch the P1 privateer battle and think of it as the main race. IMO no different to when there were 3 factory teams and 1 privateer - no-one hated Rebellion for beig there so the "forgone conclusion" bit is a bit sketchy to me - there's 2 Orecas and 3 BR1's (with a side show "Is it on fire yet?" from the #4 ByKolles) fighting over the top class honours. Might not be the top step of the podium but surely 5 LMP1's now is a race?

Yeah, but I wouldn't get too excited just yet. Come raceday the Porsche cars will disappear into the distance, I think.
